WHO WE ARE… Travis Ranch J.U.M.P. (Junior Upcoming Medical Professionals) is the middle school division of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), a national student-led organization which provides students with the opportunity to explore the healthcare field and build career and life skills. JUMP is affiliated with the Medical Sciences Academy at Esperanza High School. JUMP provides middle school students with the opportunity to participate in the many opportunities of HOSA before entering high school. Our advisers are Mrs. Mary Chapluk and Mrs. Gina Beelner.
WHAT WE DO… JUMP is a stepping stone to high school HOSA. We explore future healthcare careers through guest speakers, field trips, mentorship with Esperanza students, and conferences. Our members develop teamwork strategies, leadership values, and a positive work ethic through membership.
WHO SHOULD JOIN… Middle school students who like helping people should join JUMP. We provide many career exploration opportunities that help students decide if the healthcare field appeals to them. JUMP also helps students experience HOSA’s exciting leadership opportunities and community service events before entering high school.
